What is your professional background? I started doing landscape maintenance for elderly neighbors after high school. Leaf removal, cleaning gutters, mowing, pruning, etc. I then went to work for Ski Landscape as a crew member in 2006. I worked my way up to mowing foreman and mulching supervisor. During my three years with Ski, I earned my RT chemical license and my commercial driver’s license.
As of June 2013, I’ve been with Engledow for four years. I am a certified chemical technician for the Estates division. I strive to maintain healthy, lush lawns for our clients. My job is to keep properties properly fertilized and free of all weeds, insects, and diseases.
What inspires you in life? Bringing joy to others through my work inspires me daily. To see a family enjoying their property or relaxing after a long day in something I helped make pleasant is very satisfying.
What hobbies and interests do you enjoy in your pastime? I participate in several basketball and football leagues. I enjoy attending sporting events and watching sports. I also like to work out and spend time with family.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a teacher. I come from a family of educators and wanted to follow in their footsteps.
What three words best describe you? Motivated, enthusiastic, and competitive.
What’s your favorite plant? ‘Alatus’ (Burning Bush).
What does “we speak green” mean to you? To me, speaking green is a lifestyle. Engledow is the plant and landscape authority in the industry. We strive to be the best and most knowledgeable horticulturalists and we set the bar high.
