Estates Crew Member

This position is responsible for the care and maintenance of Engledow Estates clients' properties. Care and maintenance includes but is not limited to: mowing, watering, weeding, edging, trimming, mulching, pruning, snow removal in the winter, planting various plant material, and trash removal, while completing tasks in the most safe and efficient manner.  


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain properties for Engledow Estates 

2. Understand the needs of each respective client

3. Understanding of plants and plant materials

4. Accomplish assigned work quickly and accurately always with quality in mind

5. Complete all necessary paperwork for payroll, utilize BOSS, and/or time sheets

6. Communicate with Estates Supervisor regarding issues at properties

7. Maintain all driving and safety standards during work

8. Participation on a designated team executing snow removal during the winter months

Shop Assistant (FT or PT)

Indianapolis, IN

 

This position is responsible for utilizing an Engledow truck to deliver items, and pick up parts and equipment in a timely manner, and generally assisting the shop as needed. This also includes moving vehicles around the yard, assisting in organizing inventory. This will also involve sharpening blades and doing light mechanical work as needed while gaining experience and training. 


II.  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Assist in maintaining inventories of existing equipment and tools

§ Communicate well with Shop Supervisor 

§ Maintain Engledow driving standards while traveling to repair equipment

§ Pick up and deliver parts, tools, supplies, and equipment, trucks, and trailers as directed by shop

§ Organize, and maintain shop and work yard as directed

§ Assist on various projects for the shop and grounds as requested

§ Communicate well in both verbal and written format

§ Provide excellent service to management and crew members

§ Assist in keeping facility clean, and safe, including ensuring equipment and trucks are secure


Maintenance Crew Member

Indianapolis, IN

  

This position is responsible for the maintenance of Engledow clients' properties. This includes working with a team to complete the necessary tasks. Position includes but is not limited to: watering, weeding, edging, trimming, mulching, planting, pruning, snow removal in winter season and trash removal, and other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Provide maintenance services to Engledow customers in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining quality standards. Engledow Group standardized levels of safety and quality are to be met at each client location. Includes snow removal services in the winter season.

· Assist team and Supervisor in the coordination and implementation of contracts.

· Oversee equipment use to maximize life and minimize repairs.

· Maintain properties including watering, mulching, weeding, planting, pruning, trimming

· Communicate equipment needs and issues to Supervisor using appropriate paperwork.

· Understand the needs of each client site.

Maintenance Crew Member

Title: Landscape Maintenance Crew Member

Engledow Group is currently hiring Landscape Maintenance Crew Members for all 4 of our locations! (Carmel, Indy NW, Indy SS and Columbus, IN)

This position is responsible for the maintenance of Engledow clients' properties. This includes working with a team to complete the necessary tasks of watering, weeding, edging, trimming, mulching, planting, pruning, snow and trash removal, and other duties as assigned by Supervisor.  


This is a full-time opportunity offering competitive pay, full benefits after 60 days, PTO and no winter lay-offs! 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meet and exceed Engledow Group standardized levels of quality and safety at each customer location

• Assist team and Supervisor in the coordination and implementation of contracts

Chemical Applicator

Indianapolis, IN

I. JOB SUMMARY:

Deliver outstanding customer service, as defined by the customer and account managers regarding chemical applications. Responsible for the application of pesticides within residential or business areas to lawns, ornamental trees and shrubs, park areas, and other recreational areas. Responsibilities may include snow removal services in the winter season.


II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Delivering chemical applications according to Engledow quality standards.

2. Contribute to and support others in establishing a positive work environment by tackling issues and maintaining honest, meaningful dialogue.

3. Maintain steady communication with Chemical Application Team.  Make recommendations for chemical applications.

4. Strive with others for the efficient utilization of resources and coordination of activities on clients' sites.

5. Keep current with new chemical regulations and OSHA standards in regard to chemicals. Follow all laws, regulations and certification requirements. 

6. Complete necessary paperwork for notification to client at time of service.

7. Complete necessary time sheet entry and tracking of materials for billing purposes.

8. Provide input and direction for departmental growth and development through participation in team and planning meetings.

9. Provide assigned winter services per the instruction of the Snow Captain and/or Winter Services Manager.

Landscape Install Supervisor

This position is responsible for enhancements and installations on Engledow clients’ properties. This includes working with/supervising a team to complete the necessary tasks. Installations include but is not limited to: planting, tree removal, grading, turf repair, rock and mulch installation, landscape demo and rejuvenation, drainage repair and installation, snow removal in the winter season, property cleanup and debris removal, minor hardscape repair, and heavy equipment operating.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist Installation Manager with execution of work orders

2. Lead crew members in work through positive example and training

3. Be creative in accomplishing the work quickly and accurately

4. Complete all necessary paperwork for billing and time sheets

5. Perform installations at Engledow level of quality standards, and quality control.

Estates Supervisor

This is a key role that is responsible for the care and maintenance of Engledow Estates clients' properties. This includes working with and leading a team to complete the necessary tasks. Care and maintenance includes but is not limited to: mowing, watering, weeding, edging, trimming, mulching, pruning, snow removal, planting various plant material, application of chemicals and trash removal, along with some client interactions and communications.  


 ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Understand and execute the needs of each client contract.

· Lead crewmembers through positive example of work quality and efficiency.

· Train crewmembers and consistently lead by example.

· Oversee equipment use so as to maximize life and minimize repairs.

· Enter hours/time accurately into Boss and assist crew with their time sheets.

· Communicate equipment needs and problems to Shop using appropriate paperwork.

· Attend production and crew meetings.

· Solve field problems in a timely and cost-effective manner.

· Lead safety sessions and enforce safety procedures.

· Assist in snow removal during the winter.


Must have industry experience, concepts and industry knowledge.

Landscape Designer

Carmel, IN

  

Performs professional design work in planning and preparing designs and drawings for residential landscape projects.  This individual is responsible for all services associated with the development, documentation, and presentation of a broad scope of landscape designs. Work is performed under general supervision, and may require client interaction and selling designs, along with site visits and estimates.. Engledow Group standardized levels of quality and safety standards are to be met at each client location.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares and presents preliminary and final drawings for residential landscape projects ranging in size from $2,500 to $150,000.
  • Performs site analysis that includes the assessment of current plants, soil conditions, orientation, views, drainage, context, and      architectural style on the property.
  • Communicates well with clients, maintenance account managers, and other team members (including subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, etc) on the project team.
  • Researches topics such as new plants, new design trends and products, development guidelines, and zoning codes.
  • Makes public presentations when necessary to discuss the project complete  with supporting graphics/documents.
  • Reviews plans, proposed changes, and any other necessary documents.
  • Provides sales and design support as needed by the team.
  • Works in periods of short deadlines and has ability to prioritize workload
  • High proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, and AutoCAD, some in Dynascape 
  • Performs other related work as required to achieve organizational goals


Account Manager, Estates

Deliver a high level of customer service and sales to an assigned Estates client group.  Support, schedule, lead and work with your team members to accomplish work in a timely and cost-effective manner, while completing tasks in the most safe and efficient manner. Providing snow removal duties in the winter. Build excellent client relationships, improving profitability for the Organization, and manage the contract renewals annually. Engledow Group standardized levels of quality and safety standards are to be met at each client location.


 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Understand and execute the needs of each individual Estates client contract, along with being the first point of contact/communication for that set of assigned Estates clients.

2. Responsible for scheduling and delivering horticultural services according to Engledow quality and safety standards.

3. Lead team members through positive example of work quality, addressing issues, and maintaining efficiency.

4. Maintain steady and effective communication with customers, make recommendations for site improvements, and keep them abreast of developments on their sites.

5. Conduct regular site inspections as support for Supervisors and in order to deliver contracted services.

6. Perform contract negotiation (annually) for your assigned Estates client group.

7. Train team members and consistently lead by example

8. Oversee equipment use so as to maximize life and minimize repairs.

9. Enter hours/time accurately into Boss and assist crew with their time sheets.

Horticulture Interior Technician

Indianapolis, IN

 ENGLEDOW GROUP HAS A PT OPENING OR  A FULL TIME


NORTH INDY:  3 full days or 4 shorter days - flexible - 20-22 hours weekly

SOUTH INDY:  3 full days or 4 shorter days - 20-22 hours weekly


We can hire 1 dynamic full time person to cover both areas or 2 part time persons for these areas.


COMPETITIVE PAY and GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES

This position is responsible for caring for plants/flowers on designated routes for Engledow Interior clients.  Care includes but is not limited to: watering, pruning, cleaning, removing dead leaves and checking for bugs and disease on customers leased plants.  Engledow Group standardized levels of quality and safety are to be met at each client location, as well as levels of good customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Check each plant or color program to see how much water is needed and water according to Engledow quality standards.

2. Remove all dead and/or yellow leaves from the plant in accordance with Engledow quality standards.

3. Check for bugs and disease in the plants and treat according to Engledow quality standards.

4. Prune branches, etc. that are not in accordance with Engledow quality standards.

5. Dust the plant and wipe down the pot in accordance with Engledow quality standards.

6. Clean up the work area around each plant prior to leaving the area in accordance with Engledow quality standards.

7. Complete and continually update the paperwork necessary to map out each route with complete instructions for plant care at each location to be given to a substitute horticulture technician during any absence of the assigned horticulture technician.

8. Complete all replacement paperwork and float orders in a timely manner and follow-up that the replacements have been completed and meet the client’s expectations.

9. Complete all timesheets and expense reports, submitting them to the appropriate account manager in a timely manner.

10. Turn plants to get the maximum amount of light to aid in improving growth in accordance with Engledow quality standards.

11. Fertilize the plants in accordance with Engledow quality standards.

12. Perform all other duties as assigned.
