What is your professional background? I started working for a retail garden center during my senior year in high school and immediately fell in love with plants. I became a Texas Certified Nurseryman, and started working in landscaping the following year. That was 29 years ago. Since then I’ve managed a large retail garden center and worked in northern Virginia (Washington D.C. area) in landscape design/sales. I also earned a Virginia Nurseryman Certification.
I have been with Litchfield Landscape since 1996. I am the design/sales coordinator, but my job is a lot more than design and sales. I hold certifications from ICPI as a certified installer and as a residential paver technician. I am also certified by NCMA and hold a certification as a lighting systems design and installation specialist. So I work with a lot of our more technical projects as well as landscaping.
What inspires you in life? My wife and family.
What hobbies and interests do you enjoy in your pastime? I am involved in competitive shooting sports every other weekend. It is something I really love to do. Marty and I are always looking for our next bike ride. We ride the trails all over Indianapolis, Carmel, and Westfield. And if I get free time I also enjoy fishing.
If you were an animal, what would you want to be? I would want to be a dog, because they’re pretty cool.
What three words best describe you? Husband, father, and sportsman.
What’s your favorite plant? ‘Shishigashira’ (Japanese Maple).
What does “we speak green” mean to you? Offering our clients the best in horticultural advice and practices while helping them plan for their new project.
