Where did you grow up? I was born and raised in Indianapolis.
What is your professional background? Outside of mowing lawns for pocket money when I was a kid, I had no landscaping experience prior to working here. In fact, before I started here I knew of only five plants: a weed, a tree, a bush, a flower, and grass. I have been with Engledow for fourteen years. In that time I have pulled weeds, done some landscape install work, a tiny tiny bit of irrigation install and maintenance, pulled weeds, limited mowing, many, many, many, herbicide, fertilizer, and fungicide turf applications, ornamental pesticide applications, pulled weeds, delivered valentines day flowers, interior installs, helped out with events, pulled weeds, all manner of snow and ice removal, and indoor and outdoor holiday installs. One day I even had a part in helping David and Lael George’s youngest learn how to drive!
My current title is Landscape Maintenance Supervisor which involves scheduling and leading a landscape team in edging, mulching, pruning, planting flowers, and general maintenance of commercial accounts. Oh, and we pull a lot of weeds.
What inspires you in life? Nature. I always find myself completely at peace any time I’m around a creek, meadow, stream, river, lake, ocean, mountain, or forest.
What hobbies and interests do you enjoy in your pastime? Camping, fishing, hiking, and traveling.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to play shortstop for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
What three words best describe you? Husband. Father. Friend.
